How FCCLA Helps You
If Your School Has an FCCLA Chapter
Great news! You're just a few steps away from joining a community of like-minded, motivated students. Here’s how to get started:
Talk to your school’s FCCLA chapter adviser. This is usually a human services, education, design, or hospitality teacher at your school.
Attend a chapter meeting to learn more about what your chapter does.
Pay your affiliation fees. Your adviser will walk you through the process.
Get involved! Choose competitive events, attend conferences, run for office, and make the most of your membership.
If you’re unsure who your chapter adviser is, ask your school’s human services, education, design, or hospitality teacher or CTE office.
If Your School Does Not Have an FCCLA Chapter
No FCCLA chapter yet? You can help bring one to your school! Here’s what you can do:
Talk to a teacher or staff member who might be interested in serving as your FCCLA chapter adviser. A human services, education, design, or hospitality teacher is a great place to start.
Share this website with them, especially the Start a Chapter page for advisers.
Reach out to Tennessee FCCLA. We’re happy to talk with your teacher and provide information they need to get started.
Starting a chapter is a team effort, but it begins with student leaders like you!
